Duelling Pantsu Figures

Alter 1/8 Franco Il Nero

The first time I saw this was unpainted prototype from one of Danny Choo's WonderFest pictures. At first I thought it was from the Sakura Taisen series, but Daniel aka RadiantDreamer from Anime Figurines Network on Facebook told me otherwise. Especially with the excessive pantsu showing lol. So I tracked it down as it becomes finished and found out that it's Franco Il Nero, and proceeded to pre-order her ASAP!

When I opened the box, there were two twist ties wire that held the box together, which is kinda rare for PVC figures. One of them was actually the stand, don't wanna lose that. Her hair is really soft for a PVC, I was extra careful in handling it. And since this isn't one of those normal PVCs that stands or just sit, it's got no flat surface to put her down properly. I mused over how to place it down and it became an akward position for her ^^; A truly dynamic pose!

Now the thing that concerned me about this figure is that there's only a little plastic tab attaches to the wall to support this Franco! I'm VERY concerned. It looks wobbly and wonders what would happens if it falls. I hope Alter thought about the long run when this figure is displayed for long periods of time. I wasn't sure either if I've put in the support properly or not. The smoke and bullet holes on the wall are quite a nice touch.

I really love the sole on her boots. I mean I do like the obvious thing that's shown on this figure *cough*pantsu*cough* but this figure looks very good overall! And it's only when I opened the figure I saw how cute her futomomo (thigh) looks. One of my favourites of the bunch, plus I do have a thing for Cowgirls too ^^

Hmm, maybe I should've put them facing each other so it really looked like they're duelling ^^;

Her futuristic counterpart is
Toys Works 1/8 Mikuru Nazume from Zero In

I have no idea why I bought this... Probably because it had a similar pose to Franco Il Nero. So I had an idea of putting them together in one photo for some reason. It looks cute and has a similar look to one of Yoshizaki Mine's Keroro Gunsou characters, but I really have no idea where she's from... It's a good pairing I guess. She doesn't really need that base either, so I can probably display it right underneath Franco ^^

Goth Lolita Ryomou Shimei Figure

Orchid Seed 1/7 Ryomou Shimei ~Goth Loli Version

My favourite version of Ryomou Shimei from Ikki Tousen. I remember seeing the cover for Battle Vixens (the unfortunate title that Tokyopop uses here) volume 10 and just loving the art! So sexy yet stylish.

This was the first ever figure I ordered from Hobby Search. I knew this figure existed but didn't know where to get it until someone from Anime Figurine Network on Facebook suggested it. I can't remember who it was, but he also suggested to order more than one figure because the shipping is expensive!

I had the fortunate opportunity of meeting Yuji Shiozaki, the creator of Ikki Tousen, at Sakura-Con 2008. I didn't bring the figure for him to sign, but I got other stuff that got signed... But that's another story.

The base looks cool too, even though the picture is over-exposed...

Reiko Holinger: Gundam 0079 Card Builder Figure

Just look at her blush! ^_^

Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 Card Builder Figure:
Reiko Holinger
Something I got last year at Anime Evolution '07 in Vancouver, but never got around to taking pictures of it. So finally reviewing this huge gal! She's big! Hobby Search calls her 1/6 but it's far too big for a 1/6 as you'll see below.

I've wanted to get this figure ever since I've seen it at Ever Toys in Crystall Mall in Burnaby, BC, but it was almost $100! So on the last day of the convention I went by their booth again and saw it brought down to $65. REIKO GETTO DA-ZE! Why was I after this figure? It's based on Yoshizaki Mine's art, and I'm a big fan of the way he draws his girls.

Though Banpresto's figures aren't super good since her crossed legs looked fused together. I just noticed that recently and ugh... but I still like this figure just because how sexy and cute she looks. Once I get my room cleared out she will be placed together with my finished Gundam kits.

This was actually hard to place on the base... Especially the pointer. It's shown that she's holding it straight down, but if I didn't tilt it then that pointer is gonna scratch the base.

I've also posted this on DannyChoo.com as a part of my regular weekly post. Her heels actually scratched the base already... it's quite sharp! How does she walk in those boots?!

That logo on her back looks very cool.

Look how tall she is! The box says that she's 161 cm tall, and B: 91, W:58 and H:83... what are those? O sheet! Those are her 3 sizes 0.o According to Hobby Search she's 27 cm and 1/6 scale... but Maid Saber is supposed to be 1/6!! WTH?! I mean Saber Maid is big, but compared to Reiko, she's like a baby.

See the difference between the boxes? The other figure for this Card Builder Figure, Catherine Blitz, is also shown on the back of the box... but personally I still like the back of the Saber Maid box ^^;

Um... I was just looking at Saber Maid figure again and saw how cute her pantsu was ^^; So I took a picture of it! XD
